Christmas and New Year Waste Collection Dates – Important Update
During the Christmas and New Year period, please be aware that waste collection days will change. To ensure you don’t miss your collection, please take note of the revised dates in the table below.

Household Recycling Centre Opening Hours:
Please note that the Household Recycling Centres will close early at 1pm on Christmas Eve, and will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. For more information, visit Cambridgeshire County Council’s website.
Christmas Tree Recycling:
If you have a real Christmas tree to dispose of, please leave it next to your garden bin on the revised collection day. If the tree is larger than the bin, kindly chop it in half before placing it out.
Alternatively, Christmas trees can also be taken to the Household Recycling Centres.
How Huntingdon District Council Are Informing Residents:
To help keep everyone informed, HDC will be placing bin hangers on the grey bins over the next two weeks, outlining these changes. Additionally, updates will be shared on their social media channels:
