Competition Terms & Conditions
1. Competition Overview
1.1. The competition is called “Guess the Number of Bricks” (the “Competition”). 1.2. The promoter of the Competition is Warboys Parish Council, with its registered office at 50 Station Road, Warboys (the “Promoter”). 1.3. The Competition will run from 21st September 2024 to Midnight on 30th April 2025 (the “Competition Period”). Entries received after the end of the Competition Period will not be accepted.
2. Eligibility
2.1. The Competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over. 2.2. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate family members, and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition are not eligible to enter. 2.3. Participants may submit multiple entries, each of which must be accompanied by the entry fee.
How to Enter
3.1. To enter the Competition, participants must:
- Complete the online entry form available at https://forms.office.com/e/2bYc42J3zM?origin=lprLink.
- Submit their guess of the number of bricks in the designated container/area.
- Make a payment of £2 (the “Entry Fee”) for each entry via PayPal at paypal.me/WarboysPC. The Entry Fee is non-refundable. 3.2. Entries must include the participant’s full name, email address, and contact number. 3.3. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
4. Determining the Winner
4.1. The winners will be the participants who guess the correct number of bricks or are closest to the correct number without exceeding it. 4.2. Prizes will be awarded as follows:
- The 1st Prize will be awarded to the participant with the correct or closest guess.
- The 2nd Prize will be awarded to the participant with the next closest guess.
- The 3rd Prize will be awarded to the participant with the third closest guess.
4.3. In the event of a tie (i.e., multiple correct or closest guesses for any prize), the winner for that prize will be chosen at random from those tied entries. 4.4. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Prize
5.1. The prizes for the Competition are as follows:
- 1st Prize: Use of the new Warboys community centre (PE28 2TA) Main Hall for a party or similar for 3 Hours (additional facilities or time will be charged)
- 2nd Prize: Use of the new Warboys community centre (PE28 2TA), upstairs balcony room for a party or similar for 2 Hours (additional facilities or time will be charged)
- 3rd Prize: Use of the new Warboys community centre (PE28 2TA), 20% off a 3 Hours room hire booking (additional facilities or time will be charged)
5.2. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and there is no cash alternative available. 5.3. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.
6. Winner Notification
6.1. The winner will be notified via email or telephone within 30 days of the Competition closing date. 6.2. If the winner does not respond within 5 working days of being notified, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible participant. 6.3. The winner’s name will be available on request and may be published on the Promoter’s website and social media channels.
7. Data Protection
7.1. The Promoter will only process participants’ personal data in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. 7.2. Participants’ details will be retained only for the purposes of administering the Competition.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, malfunction, computer hardware, or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind. 8.2. Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents, or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. General
9.1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so. 9.2. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and participants agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We will not ask you at any stage to make any further payments and no one will contact you at any stage requesting personal information.
