Last modified date

As we approach the end of 2024, Warboys Parish Council is proud to reflect on a year of progress and community achievements. This year has been marked by significant milestones, collaborative efforts, and successes that will shape the future of our parish.

Progress on the New Community Centre

Construction of the long-awaited new community centre has reached the halfway point, a significant milestone in this essential project. We look forward to the completion of a facility that will become a focal point for our residents and community activities.

Demolition of the Historic Parish Centre

This year, the historic Parish Centre was demolished to pave the way for the new community centre. The building holds many cherished memories, and we would welcome residents to share their stories and experiences of its role in the community over the years.

Clerks Honoured with CAPALC CEO Award

We are delighted to share that our Clerks received the prestigious CAPALC CEO Award, recognising their exceptional dedication and service to the Council and the community.

Launch of the Community Directory

To strengthen connections within the parish, we launched a Community Directory—a valuable resource for residents to engage with local groups and services.

Two Successful Local Highway Initiative Bids

The Council successfully secured funding for:

  • Speeding restrictions on Ramsey Road, enhancing road safety.
  • A 40mph buffer zone on Station Road, further improving safety measures for residents.

Community Showcase Success

September saw the success of our Community Showcase, with over 14 local groups and organisations participating. The event highlighted the vibrant and collaborative spirit of Warboys, with strong attendance from residents.

2024 has been a year of progress and meaningful contributions to our community. Warboys Parish Council extends its gratitude to all residents, community members, and partners for their support and involvement throughout the year.

As we look ahead to 2025, we remain committed to delivering on our promises and fostering a thriving, connected, and resilient community. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to another successful year ahead.
