Warboys Parish Council Thanks the Women’s Institute for Generous Support

Warboys Parish Council extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Warboys Women’s Institute (WI) for their incredible generosity and support of the new community centre.

On 28th November, the Chair of the WI, Joyce Reeves, accompanied by two other representatives, attended the Finance & General Purposes Committee meeting to present the Parish Council Chair, Sheila Withams, and council members with a cheque for an astounding £50,000. This generous donation represents funds from the sale of their old WI hall and will play a pivotal role in bringing the new community centre project to life.

This substantial support will enable the council to deliver a vital resource for all residents of Warboys. The new community centre will be a much-needed space for events, activities, and gatherings, fostering connections and enhancing the quality of life in our parish.

The Parish Council Chair expressed profound appreciation for the WI’s commitment to the community, noting that contributions like this are essential to making the new centre a reality.

We would like to thank Joyce Reeves, the Women’s Institute, and their representatives once again for their ongoing dedication to Warboys and their unwavering support of this important project.

We look forward to updating you all on the progress of the community centre and welcoming everyone to this vital hub once it is complete.
