Warboys Remembrance Sunday 2024
Warboys Parish Council is pleased to report that this year’s Remembrance Sunday event, held on 11th November at the Warboys War Memorial, was a heartfelt and well-attended occasion. It was wonderful to see so many residents come together to pay their respects and honour the sacrifices of those who served.
A particular highlight was the participation of Warboys’ young people from the Scouts and Guiding groups, whose presence added a poignant touch to the event. We extend our gratitude to the representative from Wyton, who laid a wreath alongside the Chair of Warboys Parish Council and members of various village groups, including the 55+ Club.
Despite some technical challenges with the amplifier and microphone, Rector Garry Dawson-Jones delivered a moving service, ensuring the meaning of the day was upheld.
A big thank you goes to the volunteers who guided the parade to the Church and to all the staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the event a success. Your efforts are deeply appreciated by the entire community.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the day truly memorable.
